College Credit for Life is a 1 hour workshop designed to help college students understand the concept of credit, determine the risks and benefits of using credit cards, utilize the decision-making process when using credit, and understand the effect credit use has on life after college.

Workshops exercises include:
Reviewing and discussing the details of a credit card application ~ looking out for hazardous credit terms credit terms and conditions
Reading a credit card statement ~ learn how to avoid fees and build good credit
Dodging the minimum payment trap ~ doing the math to calculate the time and
money it will cost you to when you pay only the minimum
Staying on top ~ how to obtain a free copy of your credit report
College Credit for Life is taught by professional, experienced consumer counselors and will point you in the right direction as you start your college and credit life.
During the workshop, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater San Antonio provides a 10 minute College Credit for Life DVD with young adults discussing their own experiences with college credit.
